The Online Service
Center is a suite of interactive web-based forms that address many
of the time consuming and unproductive tasks that agency and company
personnel must deal with on a daily basis. These forms eliminate
the more mundane verbal requests that currently overwhelm your key
personnel with basic administrative functions that unnecessarily
add to their workload and drive up the cost of doing business. Most
of these functions can be accomplished more efficiently via your
web site with the Online Service Center while at the same time providing
a valuable customer service. Fast, easy, and conveniently available
24x7, an insured can enter their request from your web site, print
a copy for their records, and e-mail their request to you with a
click of their mouse.
Of critical
importance is how the requests are processed and received. Although
the input screens used by the customer are in an elegant html format
for ease of use, the final printed versions do not merely list the
individual fields and data in continuous columns spread over several
pages. The data is formatted into a concise, professional looking
document that eliminates any confusion as to the intent of the request
and is perfectly suitable for forwarding directly to the carrier
without further modification. This eliminates 20-30 minutes of staff
time for every request processed in this manner. Although this was
difficult to accomplish, we thought it absolutely necessary that
all parties have a clear understanding as to the nature of the requests
being made, and that the time normally associated with completing
these types of requests be put to more productive use.
There are currently
seven interactive request forms and four loss notices within the
Online Service Center. These custom designed forms may be utilized
by either personal or commercial lines insureds and are integrated
with a customer database that automatically pre-fills names, addresses,
phone numbers, insurance carriers, policy numbers and dates to each
form. This not only reduces the time required to complete an online
request or claim but also dramatically improves the accuracy of
the information received. As additional forms are developed, they
will immediately be added to the Online Service Center.
